The records document important issues of the late 1970s through the mid-1990s including environmental issues such as clean air, nuclear waste, the spotted owl, and hydroelectric power; telecommunication and broadcasting issues; as well as campaign finance reform and uniform poll closing. There are also some papers from Allan Swift’s pre-congressional career, with Bellingham City. A finding aid is available in the repository and online.
