Consists of papers of Peter Frelinghuysen accumulated over two decades as a congressman from New Jersey. Included are general correspondence, correspondence with constituents, his voting records (1953-1974), speeches and articles, material concerning post offices and a jet port in New Jersey, and files concerning his activities as a United States representative to the 20th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 1965. Also included are extensive papers relating to the 83rd to the 93rd Congressional Sessions (1953-1974), containing files on legislation sponsored by Frelinghuysen, Committee on Education and Labor files, Committee on Foreign Affairs files, reports on poverty, the United Nations, and immigration, Hoover Commission reports for 1955, general files, and miscellaneous printed matter, photographs, and tapes.
