SIMPSON, Edna Oakes, (wife of Sidney E. Simpson),
a Representative from Illinois; born in Carrollton, Greene County,
Ill., October 26, 1891; elected as a Republican to the Eighty-sixth Congress
(January 3, 1959-January 3, 1961); did not seek renomination in 1960; was a
resident of Carrollton, Ill., until her death in Alton, Ill., on May 15, 1984.
