PEARSON, Albert Jackson, a Representative from Ohio;
born in Centerville, Belmont County, Ohio, May 20, 1846;
at an early age moved with his parents to Beallsville, Monroe County, Ohio;
attended the common schools and the normal school at Lebanon, Ohio;
served as a private in Company I, One Hundred and Eighty-sixth Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, during the Civil War;
studied law;
was admitted to the bar in 1868 and commenced practice in Woodsfield, Ohio;
prosecuting attorney of Monroe County 1871-1877;
member of the State senate in 1881 and 1882;
probate judge of Monroe County 1884-1890;
elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-second and Fifty-third Congresses (March 4, 1891-March 3, 1895);
was not a candidate for reelection in 1894 to the Fifty-fourth Congress;
resumed the practice of his profession;
died in Woodsfield, Monroe County, Ohio, on May 15, 1905;
interment in Woodsfield Cemetery.
