KRIBBS, George Frederic, a Representative from Pennsylvania;
born on a farm in Clarion County, Pa., November 8, 1846;
attended the common schools and the Emlenton Academy and was graduated from Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., in 1873;
studied law;
was admitted to the bar in 1875 and commenced practice in Clarion, Pa.;
mayor in 1876 and again in 1889;
edited the Clarion Democrat 1877-1889;
elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-second and Fifty-third Congresses (March 4, 1891-March 3, 1895);
unsuccessful candidate for renomination in 1894;
resumed the practice of law in Clarion;
served as mayor;
president of the board of directors of the Clarion State Normal School;
moved to Osceola County, Fla., in 1896 and engaged in orange culture;
located in Kissimmee, Fla., in 1907 and re-engaged in the practice of law;
prosecuting attorney of Osceola County in 1908;
judge of the county court in 1909 and 1910;
resigned and resumed the practice of law in Kissimmee, Fla., until 1926 when he retired;
died in Kissimmee, Fla., September 8, 1938;
interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
