(Geoff), a Representative from Kentucky; born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, October 26, 1958; attended public schools, West Pittsburgh, Pa.; B.S., U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., 1981; U.S. Army, 1976-1987; manufacturer; consultant; unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States House of Representatives in 2002; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Ninth Congress and to the three succeeding Congresses until his resignation on July 31, 2012 (January 3, 2005-July 31, 2012).
