Department, 1946-1947; assistant prosecutor, Ingham County, Mich., 1950; city
attorney of East Lansing, Mich., and legal counsel to Michigan state senate
judiciary committee, 1953 and 1954; prosecuting attorney of Ingham County,
Mich., 1955-1956; elected as a Republican to the Eighty-fifth and to the eight
succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1957-December 31, 1974); was not a candidate
for reelection to the Ninety-fourth Congress in 1974; died on November 25,
2002, in Leesburg, Va.; interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, Mich.
